Letter to our parents

Notification from: St. Michael’s Preschool

Dear families,

Our overriding concern in this unsettling time is to carry out our mission of providing exceptional education and care in the Episcopal tradition. In doing this, our payroll to teachers will remain intact while the school is closed specifically so that your children’s phenomenal teachers will be here when they return.

Our faculty and staff met this morning to prepare an educational plan for your children. They are finalizing these preparations throughout this week in order to launch the distant learning plan on Monday, March 23rd.

Parents Only: If you are on Facebook, make sure to like the Preschool Page. Please join our newly created locked group on Facebook, “St. Michael’s Circle Time.” Daily circle time videos will be posted to this page. We will use these platforms as our main online learning resource. Be on the lookout for weekly emails containing your child’s classwork.

Other news:

  • Our regularly-scheduled Easter Break (April 10-17) will continue as planned. At this time, we anticipate returning to normal campus operations on Monday, April 20. We will remain in regular communication with you about the school’s operations.
  • We understand the next few weeks will be challenging for all of us. But we have been through a number of challenging circumstances as a community, and have relied on each other for support and care. We continue to remain filled with gratitude for our strong community!

In these quickly-changing times, we are asking families to please do the following:

  • Thoroughly read all emails that you receive from St. Michael’s faculty and administrators. They will give you the latest information.
  • Reach out to us if you have questions about your child’s learning.

Our approach to this situation continues to rely on the strength of our incredible community. We can’t thank you enough for your ongoing, extraordinary support, and understanding.

In faith and love,

Mrs. Stacey Tavan

Head of School
